A NOTE FROM JAZELL:
Hey Giants fans! My name is Jazell and I am beyond thrilled to be a part of such an amazing group of women as a rookie on the GCC. Born and raised in New York, it is an honor to be able to represent our New York Giants alongside a handful of professional dancers who share the same passion for dance.
I began dancing when I was 6 years old at a studio in Islip Terrace, Long Island. With each class, recital, competition, and convention my love for dancing and performing only seemed to grow. In addition to competitive dance, I was also a member of my high school kickline team where I served as captain for 2 years. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to grow up with teammates who turned into family and dance teachers and coaches who turned into lifelong role models. Because of this, it has always been a goal of mine to continue to be a part of a team like these and to become a role model myself to other aspiring dancers.
Academics have always been a crucial priority in my life, and I am currently pursuing a degree in speech pathology at Pace University, but my dreams of becoming a professional dancer have never wavered.
Being a part of the Gotham City Cheerleaders is the opportunity of a lifetime. The GCC not only allows me to do all of the things I once only dreamed about, but also allows me to be part of a team who inspire, motivate, and push each other to live up to and reach our full potential as a professional dancers. I am proud to be a part of such a strong group of women who get to represent what the GCC is all about.
Although I have only been on the team for a short time, being a part of GCC performances, promotional events, and community service events has already been an exhilarating experience and it will only continue from here! Look out for a great season everyone!
Let’s go BIG BLUE<3
